How to Verify a Peptide COA on the Lab's Own Portal
A PDF a vendor hands you proves very little. Here's how to actually verify a peptide Certificate of Analysis — on the testing lab's own portal — in under two minutes.
The steps
- Find the lab name and report/verification number on the COA.
- Go to the lab's website directly — type it in yourself, don't use a link on the vendor's store (a fake "portal" can be vendor-hosted).
- Use the lab's lookup tool and enter the report number.
- Check that what comes back matches the PDF — same compound, purity, and date — and names the vendor as the client.
The fake-portal test
Before trusting any "verify" page, type in a made-up random number. A real portal returns nothing; a fake one returns a valid-looking "OK" for anything — which means it's theatre.
